How to Add Your Website to GeoSnap and Why the URL is the Starting Point for Analysis.

The Starting Point

The URL of your website is the starting point for every GeoSnap analysis. The entered domain is used to identify your brand in AI responses and to generate questions relevant to your industry.

How to Enter Your Website

From the main dashboard, you will find the input field for the URL. Enter the full address of your site, including the protocol (e.g., https://yourbrand.com).

GeoSnap accepts any public web domain. If you have multiple brands or products with different domains, you can create a separate project for each.

What GeoSnap Does with Your URL

The URL is not used to scrape your site. It is used as a brand identifier for:

  • Contextualizing Questions: GeoSnap generates prompts relevant to your specific industry and offering

  • Identifying Mentions: When an AI engine cites your domain in sources, GeoSnap detects it and associates it with your brand

  • Mapping Competitors: Brands that appear in the same responses are identified as competitors in the AI context

Best Practices

Use the main domain of your brand, not a subdomain or a specific page. If your brand operates with multiple regional domains (e.g., .it, .com, .de), create a project for each and select the corresponding country.

If your brand has a different name from the domain, GeoSnap can detect both in AI responses. The results will show mentions for both the name and the URL.
