What is the AI Rating

The AI Rating is GeoSnap's main metric. It represents your brand's visibility level in the responses generated by Large Language Models.

The AI Rating is a score indicating how frequently and in what position your brand appears in AI engine responses when relevant questions are asked about your sector. A high AI Rating means your brand is often mentioned and in prominent positions. A low rating indicates your brand is scarcely visible or absent from AI conversations in your category.

How it is calculated

The AI Rating results from the aggregated analysis of hundreds of AI responses. For every question submitted to AI engines, GeoSnap verifies:

• Presence: Is your brand mentioned in the response?

• Position: If mentioned, where does it appear compared to other brands?

• Frequency: How often does your brand appear in total questions?

• Consistency: Does the brand appear consistently across different AI engines or only on some?

These factors are combined into a single score representing your overall visibility.

How to interpret the AI Rating

The AI Rating should be interpreted within the context of your industry and competitors. A score is not inherently good or bad: it becomes meaningful when compared with competitors in your category.

Comparison is possible directly in the dashboard, where competitors' scores are displayed alongside yours. This allows you to understand not only your absolute position but also your relative position in the AI market.

AI Rating by intent

The AI Rating can be analyzed by intent type. You might have excellent visibility for informational questions but poor for transactional ones. This granularity is valuable for deciding where to focus your optimization efforts.

A brand with a high informational rating but low transactional rating is perceived as authoritative but not as a purchasing option. Conversely, a brand visible only on transactional intents might not be perceived as a thought leader in the sector.
