Customer Sentiment
How AI describes your brand: analysis of positive, neutral, and negative sentiment in LLM responses.
What is Sentiment
Sentiment measures how your brand is perceived and described in AI responses. Visibility isn't enough: the tone with which AIs talk about you also matters.
When an AI engine mentions your brand, it doesn't just cite it. It contextualizes, describes, and compares it. Sentiment captures the tone of these mentions and classifies it into three categories:
Positive: the brand is described with favorable terms, recommended, highlighted for strengths
Neutral: the brand is mentioned factually, without explicit value judgment
Negative: the brand is associated with limitations, issues, or is unfavored in comparison
Why Sentiment is Important
A brand can have high visibility (good AI Rating) but be perceived negatively. In this case, higher visibility means more exposure to unfavorable narratives. Sentiment allows you to understand if your visibility is working for you or against you.
AIs build their responses based on a vast corpus of information. If predominant sources speak negatively about your brand (reviews, unfavorable comparisons, reported problems), this reflects in how LLMs describe you.
How it is Analyzed
GeoSnap analyzes the text of every AI response in which your brand is mentioned. For each mention, the linguistic context, adjectives used, relative positioning compared to competitors, and the overall tone of the description are evaluated.
The result is a percentage distribution between positive, neutral, and negative, showing you the overall AI perception of your brand.
Sentiment by Engine
Each AI engine may have a different sentiment towards your brand. This depends on the sources used and learned patterns. Monitoring sentiment by engine allows you to identify discrepancies and understand which informational ecosystem is influencing each AI.
Sentiment and Strategy
Sentiment is not static data. It can change over time as new sources are published, reviews are updated, and your brand evolves. Monitoring sentiment trends is essential for evaluating the impact of your communication and GEO actions.
An improvement in sentiment over time indicates that your content, PR, and reputation management strategies are positively influencing how AIs perceive you.
