Common Challenges

Common issues with GeoSnap and how to resolve them: from setup to interpreting results.

Results are not yet available

After the plan is activated, GeoSnap automatically starts generating queries and interacting with AI engines. This process takes time, especially for the initial analysis. If results are not yet visible on the dashboard, please wait for the analysis cycle to complete. You will be notified when the data is ready.

My brand does not appear in the results

If your brand is not detected in AI responses, it is an important indicator: it means the AIs currently do not include your brand in relevant category responses. This is not a technical error, but rather the starting point for your GEO strategy. Refer to the "How to Improve AI Visibility" section for actions to take.

Also, ensure the entered URL matches your brand’s main domain and the selected country is correct for your target market.

Results vary from one analysis to another

AI responses are inherently variable. The same question posed to an AI engine at different times can yield different answers. This is a characteristic of Large Language Models, not a flaw in the analysis.

GeoSnap mitigates this variability by generating hundreds of questions and statistically aggregating the outcomes. Small variations between consecutive analyses are normal. Focus on trends over time rather than individual analyses.

The sentiment seems inaccurate

Sentiment analysis is based on the linguistic context of mentions of your brand in AI responses. If the reported sentiment does not align with your perception, consider that AIs might be sourcing from places you are unaware of or sources that reflect a different perception of your brand.

Use the Sources section to identify which sources are influencing the sentiment and assess whether corrective actions are needed.

I don't recognize some competitors

Competitors appearing in AI responses can differ from your traditional competitors. In the AI ecosystem, visibility relies on different factors than the traditional market. Brands with strong editorial presence, authoritative educational content, or frequent mentions in sources cited by AIs can appear as competitors even if you do not view them as such in your market.

This information is valuable: it shows who is "occupying space" in AI responses regarding your category.

The cited sources are not relevant

The sources cited by AIs reflect what models consider authoritative for your category. If the sources seem irrelevant, it may indicate your sector does not yet have a strong presence in sources typically cited by AIs. This is an opportunity: establishing or gaining presence in authoritative sources can have a significant impact.
